Airbus Helicopters delivers 1300th Helicopter From the H135 Family

Airbus Helicopters delivered the 1300th helicopter from the H135-family, a number underlining the multipurpose lightweight twin-engine helicopter’s worldwide success. The global fleet of this type has accumulated a total of more than 4.5 million flight hours since the entry into service of the first helicopter in 1996. More than 300 customers in 60 countries use helicopters from the H135 family for a wide range of missions including Emergency Medical Services (EMS), law enforcement, corporate transport, offshore wind and military flight training. The majority of the lightweight twin-engine helicopters of this type are operated in Europe (641), followed by North America (316) and Asia (195). Qatar Airways Welcomes the Airbus A350-1000 Test Aircraft to Doha

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, welcomed the arrival of the Airbus A350-1000 test aircraft to Qatar, as part of a special Demonstration Tour by Airbus. The visit was the first stop by the advanced aircraft to 12 destinations throughout the Middle East and Asia Pacific, designed to showcase the aircraft’s exclusive features to airlines and passengers. The arrival of the Airbus A350-1000 test aircraft comes just a month before Qatar Airways will become the global launch customer for the world’s very first A350-1000. The aircraft performed an impressive fly-by over the iconic Doha corniche to commence its international tour. Airbus Rolls out First A321 Neo Acf

Airbus has completed assembly of the first A321neo ACF (Airbus Cabin Flex) at its facilities in Hamburg, Germany. The aircraft, powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines, will undergo ground tests prior to its scheduled first flight in the coming weeks. First delivery of an A321neo ACF to a customer is scheduled for mid-2018. The A321neo ACF is the latest addition to the successful A320 Family. By applying modifications to the fuselage, the ACF enables more flexible cabin configurations for up to 240 passengers. Compared to the previous A321 variant, the most visible modifications are a new rear section and a modified passenger door configuration, where the door located forward of the wing is removed and new overwing emergency exits in the centre section are introduced. The A321neo ACF is an option today and will become standard for all A321neos around 2020.   The A321neo ACF is the base for a longer range variant known as the A321LR. Emirates sends off UAE fans on special A380 flight to Kuwait

Emirates’ special A380 flight to Kuwait took off earlier today carrying over 500 passionate fans who will cheer on the UAE National team in their bid to clinch the Gulf Cup.  Fans were treated to UAE flag scarves upon check-in to wear ahead of kick-off and show their support.  Watch  as fans gear up for the final match.  The Emirates A380, operating as EK 2555 and EK 2556, was fittingly emblazoned with the decal that makes a special tribute to HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in celebration of the ‘Year of Zayed’. The flight was led by Captain Nabil Al Rustamani and First Officer Abdalla Mohamed, both UAE Nationals who greeted passengers with a special message, and wished the UAE National team the best of luck on the final match of the Gulf Cup.
